We did it! We scratched off another item off our bucket list of things to do and places to see. Let me rewind to beginning of the 2017 Chris and I entertained around with the idea of going on another European trip. What places were we considering? well...we though Iceland would be amazing, Ireland, Italy, London.....the list went on. Well this was just an idea until we started talking about it some more. We some how narrowed it down to Italy. We kept talking about Italy and Rome and all the history and the food oh the food. This idea died as quickly as it became an idea until fast forward to July. I get a phone call from Chris while I was at work. "Honey he chimes I booked us a trip to Italy" I didn't believe him. This is not in his nature to do. Chris does not spring up surprises let alone a trip like that on me. He never has and I still didn't believe it. "You did what???" I yelled back "Yep December. Rome. Be there! uh I think I died and went to heaven.
So December 2017 we went on our Roman Holiday!! We stayed at the Relais Maddalena Hotel in the heart of Rome. We were a stones throw away from the Pantheon and right next door Lindt Chocolate. I had a coffee shop and Gelato shop on every corner. The cobble stones and narrow streets were something out of a movie. Everything was draped in Christmas lights and twinkled in the rain, since it did rain while we were there. We walked everywhere and ate everything! in the words of Joey Tribbiani "The Pizza? Good!" The Pasta? Good!
I might have also done a bit of damage down Via Dei Condotti (oops)
It was so magical and memorizing and better than you could imagine. I loved every inch of it and it now has a special place in our hearts. I can't wait to see where our next adventure will be in 2018.
xoxo

Happy New Year!
It is now official.....I have been living in MO for a little over 2 YEARS now!!! I still can't come to terms with this. 2014 has a lot in store for me. Its going to be a very busy year and in a blink of an eye it will go by quicker than 2013 did. First of all my birthday is coming up in February, and I am going to be twenty something years old (cringe). Second, my future sister-in-law is going to have her baby girl any day now!! So excited for her!! Thirdly, my sisters is getting married in March and its going to be in Phoenix, AZ, so that will be very exciting. Me and Chris want to plan a trip this spring or summer, something fun since we didn't go anywhere last year, and LAST but not LEAST on top of all of this and work and regular everyday living, I have to plan my wedding which is in November. See? I told you this year is going to flash before my eyes! I have to remember to take the time and breath and live every moment of every day. With so much going on I can totally see myself rushing, and stressing and not enjoying all these memories. I can't wait to enjoy 2014!!

This is by far the BEST part about the job. I get a access card. I have wanted one of theses since the day I was born. (okay not really) But for some reason I feel official and important having one of these on me.
This was taken on a good day, pre job, Its a cool view of the Arch that I have never been to yet. I'll make it there soon!
And this my friends is the weather this poor California girl has to deal with! I could complain about the cold and odd weather for AGES!!!!! but I do not want to keep you here all day!
Last rant I swear! ------On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest and stressful and 1 being easy peezy lemon squeezy, My job is a 15! What have I gotten myself into???
