My last post was around March of 2014. I went through a very difficult time shortly after my last post that still scars me to this day when I think about it. I will not go into full detail but lets just say that when one door slams in your face...another door opens up to bigger and better things.
Where have I been lately? Well lets see...I have a new job that I love everything about. I have a great work environment and supporting team. I enjoy going to work everyday and really love what I do and the company I work for.
I am now married!!!I love saying wife and husband. I loved our wedding and I would not have changed a single thing about it. All of our loving family and friends shared our wonderful day with us. I will do a separate blog post on our wedding and all the details.
We honeymooned in Paris, France!!! It was the most amazing and exhausting trip ever and I wish I could go back. I really think every one should visit the city of love at some point in their life. It went by so quickly and made so many memories. It was truly magical.
We are celebrating Chris's birthday in Sanibel!! I have wanted to go to Sanibel since the first day I met Chris. We booked it on a whim and can't wait to celebrate on the beach. Even though this trip has not even come yet, we are already looking at Italy for Christmas for next year!!!
I am trying to improve my health and have taken up running twice a week during lunch. We manage a 3 mile run and it has really helped with my stamina. I am now doing some research on cutting calories. I really think my issue is the chub I hold so dear and close to me around my legs and belly area. I truly think that cutting will help show some of the muscle I have buried deep down there somewhere.
We have been enjoying life and marriage. We are taking advantage of going out to movies and trying new breakfast places. We keep our friends close and enjoy dinners and poker nights together. We wake up early and go to the farmers market, go running, take the dogs on walks, grab a burger to go, and relax in our backyard. Time has flown by since my last post and I feel sad that I abandoned it for such a long time because I was in a sad place in my life. Hopefully I can commit again and post new recipes and adventures as they happen. Till next time xoxo!

Snow Day!!!!!
Yesterday was my first official Snow Day! In my twenty some years of living I have never experienced this much snow. Yes it was only like 5 inches but still that is more than I have ever seen. It was everywhere!!! They let us go home early from work because the office was worried about the road conditions. Some people have 1 hour commutes to work so I couldn't imagine driving in snow and ice for an hour!! Scary!
I took advantage of my early day off and zoomed (not really) to the mall so I can get my hands on more BBW candles. I had a coupon, snow or no snow I was going to use this coupon! I made it there and back home just in time for the snow to really pick up. What is a girl to do on a snow day? Of course me being the odd one that I am, I cleaned, I made my bathroom (minus the shower area) sparkle like a diamond! Two loads of laundry and a homemade meatloaf dinner! I was on top of the world and then I got SIS (snowed in syndrome) I got antsy and needed to go out!
We ventured out to Target and I couldn't believe the amount of snow. It was everywhere on the road, in the parking, lot, highways and on top of cars. Is this really where I live??? We managed and when we got home we couldn't get up the driveway. We were stuck.........we had to dig the car out and the driveway to make it up and forward to the garage. That was interesting HA!!
This morning our phones were down so they opened the office at 10 am. The phones are still down and I have loads of work BUT I had to post my first experience of Snow Day!!

This was a little after I got home.

This is Charles eyes my lunch. He kept getting closer and closer and closer until I caught him mid lick! Luckily no pizza was harmed.

This was in the evening. Not much of a change except that my neighbor shoveled a bit!

Shepard & Haven
Dear Shepard & Haven,
I could not find your office for the life of me when I was coming in for my interview. I was almost late and to tell you the truth I almost gave up and almost did not go. I called my mom and said "I am not going this is ridiculous" I never told you guys that little tid bit. THANKFULLY I did end up finding your office. I wore a green button down that was 2 sizes too big for me and covered it up with a frumpy sweater. I was nervous and scared, and then walked in Ken and Joanne and Shari. My life changed after that interview. Thank you Ken for being shocked when I told you my age and still letting me work here. Thank you for always picking on me cuz I knew you did that to people you liked. Thank you for always always always getting cookies! Thank you for giving me advice and bringing in Marcus! Thank you for all the work you gave me and all the knowledge you installed in my head. I am going to miss working for you! You better read my blog!!!!!.
Ron I do not remember you right off the bat at the beginning. I was more scared of you at first than I was of Ken and then that changed and it was vice versa and so forth. I always knew you as the tall one who roamed the office, make a pit stop in the kitchen and then stroll back to your cave in the corner. Thank you for letting me work for you! Thank you for your support and advice on things! Thank you for bringing in sweets when Ken dropped the ball during the week =) Thank you for giving me the knowledge I need, to be a really good paralegal! I will never find two attorneys who are kind-hearted, caring, concerned about your life, funny and easy-going as you and Ken! Thank you for the health insurance when I was sick too! Stuff like that really really make me appreciate the office I worked for and could not be any more blessed than I was, Ron you better read my blog too!!!!
Cheri you have been like a mother to me during my rough patches and it wasn't untill the downsize that we actually got to know each other. Thank you for always lending a helping hand and offering support and solutions to my problems. Thank you for encouraging me and being positive. I wont ever find another Cheri like you so keep in touch and read my blog! I will send pictures and come back and visit. I am never going to forget working with you!
Shari thank you for everything you have done! Thank you for letting me do Ken's IME's and being lenient about my days off. You were always fun to work with and I still want your recipe for your cranberry white chocolate chip cookies. Thank you for always sharing your families stories too, It makes me not feel so bad that my family is crazy!
Jess your new years resolution is to learn to email or at least read my blog! You have taught me many things I needed to know to be a good paralegal! You will be able to figure out the printer when I am not there!
Trish, you were so much fun to work with! I wish I could have gotten to know you a bit more! Good news is you don't have to share my space anymore, it's all yours so you can decorate it with stuff! I took the ducks and which helps make the space less juvenile.
Words cannot express how sad I am to leave but I also do not have words to express how blessed I am to have worked with such an amazing amazing group of people! The best thing I am taking away from here today is friendships that will last longer than a work week! You guys are will always be family to me!
Thank you Shepard and Haven!!
